Dealership

Train the department, not just the new hire.

Tony Curtis has spent 35+ years in dealership fixed operations and has trained teams across the country. He built this platform after watching the same thing happen at store after store: good people stuck in the role they were hired into, and dealerships hiring managers from outside because nobody inside had been taught the next job.

The material here is not theory. It is the greeting he used at the driver’s window, the closing percentages he held his advisors to, the presentation order that gets a customer to a yes, and the documentation standard that keeps a repair order defensible. It is written the way he would explain it to a new advisor on the drive.

The goal is a department where the person who deserves the promotion is also ready for it.

The bench problem

Manufacturer training certifies people in the role they were hired for. It does not prepare an advisor to run a lane or a lane manager to run a department. So the opening gets posted, an outside hire walks in with someone else’s process, and the team spends six months adjusting to it. The alternative is training people one level above where they sit, before you need them there.

What your department gets

  • One process, every lane. The same word tracks and the same standards from express through the main drive, so a customer gets the same visit no matter who writes it.
  •  A bench you can promote from. Advisors who already understand KPIs and coaching before the manager’s seat opens.
  •  Training that does not cost you drive time. Five-minute lessons instead of days off the floor.
  • Something to hold people to. Quizzes, tracking sheets, and certificates give you an objective record instead of a hunch.
  •  A reason for good people to stay. Development is one of the cheapest retention tools a store has.

How a rollout usually runs

  • Start the whole team on Express Advisor so everyone is working from the same foundation.
  •  Move advisors into the Service Advisor track as they take on main shop work.
  • Put your two or three likely promotions into the Service Manager track before the opening exists.
  •  Use the tracking sheets in your existing weekly meeting so training and performance stay in the same conversation.

Pricing for teams

All Access covers every track for a full year at $579.
